East Orange Photo Shoot

Next up was starting a New Jersey Equality group on facebook and within a couple days I had over 100 people join the group. So I decided on Sunday, March 21, I would see how many wanted to come down to my studio in East Orange, NJ to have their picture taken.....it went well for a first time with a good turnout. I asked people to write a short blurb about themselves and/or why they felt that gay marriage should be legal. I also suggested that people could bring a prop to pose with that had something to do with a hobby or their jobs. Thanks to my friends Elisa and Val for painting most of the faces and guarding the door downstairs.

As a gay man I feel that I can't express the love I share for my partner according to other peoples point of view. All I want is equality. I want to stand in front of an altar with the person I love one day the same way "everyone" else does! It shouldn't have to be voted on.

Who's to say you can't marry the one you love? Everyone should have equal rights and the opportunity to be who they are and do want they want. Why stop two people from the same sex to get married? We're ALL looking for happiness & peace, let it be.

Angie

I stand strong for equality for all and together we will continue to stand up for one another.

Andrew & Lisa

We are a 40-something married couple who believes that every citizen has the right to the pursuit of happiness and that should not be hindered by a person's sexuality, race, religion or by an abusive government afraid of change.
