East Orange Photo Shoot-Sunday, April 11, 2010

Another great turnout! More than I had expected and still many more who keep asking when the next shoot will be. I have a lot of work ahead of me! I really appreciate the people who have come to the studio to lend a helping hand. This time around I have to thank Lisa, for the face painting and Andy and my Mom(who also came down to pose in support of the cause) for watching the door!

Jim & Richie Madden

NJEQ, because we are domestic partners in PA, civil union partners in NJ, married in CT, and legal strangers federally.

Rose Guzman

I'm an EMT who supports my cousin and his partner, whom I love dearly, as well as other family members. I also have two good friends and co-workers who wish to get married.

Yesenia

I support gay marriage because everyone should have the right to be happy. I have family members and have a best friend who is gay, whom I would love to see get married with the one he loves. If you love someone why should anything else matter. I support gay marriage and feel people shouldn't judge a gay union but embrace it.

Basilio Orozco

The only difference between us is our choices of what sex we decide we love and want to spend the rest of our lives with. Skin, blood, and bones are what make us all, and to be treated like an alien because of MY choice is inhumane. We are supposed to be, "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Where is the justice in ostracizing human beings? I am equal to my neighbor and he is equal to his. New Jersey, let's join hands and forces to recognize the misstep in our state, by not following the Constitutional rights of every citizen of the United States.

Johan Gonzalez

I am 23 years old and to me marriage is about two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together... love has no color or gender.

Gisela Adorno

I am a teacher who supports gay marriage for the simple fact that love has no "gender"!

Pam & Alexa Cinque

I am a 40 year old teacher and a mother of 2. I support gay marriage because everyone should be able to have the same right to enter into a partnership. Being an educator and mother, I feel it is my duty to promote love, tolerance and understanding to the next generation. By supporting this cause, I feel I am contributing to the abolishment of ignorance, fear and hatred. My motivator is my cousin Michael. I am in awe of his strength to overcome prejudices in his life. I support him and this cause with my whole being!

Melissa

I'm a 25 year old photo shoot coordinator/blogger. I have many friends in the LGBT community and am a true supporter of equal rights and gay marriage.

Aracelis Rodriguez

The beauty of Love, regardless of race, religion, or sex, is a definition that does not change. I am a 19 year old daughter, who lived with her father and his partner for about 13 years of my life. I've seen Love blossom from every angle with these two and I am truly blessed to have such a great Father and "Step Mother" in my life. I also have many friends in the gay community and feel that being a part of their life as a friend, support system, someone to stand beside them and believe in their feelings is a great opportunity in this obstacle we call life. Live as if today is your last, Love like you never loved before, and Laugh as hard as you want. Make a CHANGE.

Linette

I'm a 20 year old art major, whose ex-boyfriend recently came out, who I still love and support.

Sergia

I am a 19 year-old student , and my bestfriends and uncle are gay. I've been around gay people all my life, and don't see any difference in them than someone who is straight. Gay marriage should be equal to anything, it's LOVE, it's all the same.

Angelica

I am a 22 Year old Student and Fashionista! My bestfriend and uncle are gay. I support Gay Marriage beause who are we to tell anyone what not to do. God loves us all, Black, White, Gay, or Straight!

Karen Ansell

Proud mother of very talented photographer who began NJEQ. I believe everyone should be free to marry whomever they choose.
