The "Equality" art show to benefit gay marriage will be coming up on Sunday, August 8 from 2-6 pm. I'll have my camera on hand for anyone who wants their picture taken for the cause-$20.00, just wear a white t-shirt and be camera ready. People are also encouraged to bring some prop to pose with that may represent a hobby or career.
My close friend and fellow artist Lisa D'Amico and I decided to ask four other good friends to join us this time around. We'll have sculpture by Ramon Sierra and Carlos Sierra, painting by Jessica Butler and photography by Rob Kovacs. We chose Garden State Equality to donate 25 % of the proceeds. I'm also very excited that a writer from Out In Jersey magazine will be there covering the art show for an article about New Jersey Equality in their October issue.
We're hoping for this to be a big event so please let anyone you know who cares about the legalization of gay marriage here in New Jersey about this show.
